5 Luxurious Formulations Of “Bouquet”

It remains only for us to complete the branch of perfumery which relates to odors for the handkerchief, by giving the formulæ for preparing the most favorite "bouquets" and "nosegays." These, as before stated, are but mixtures of the simple ottos in spirit, which, properly blended, produce an agreeable and characteristic odor,—an effect upon the smelling nerve similar to that which music or the mixture of harmonious sounds produces upon the nerve of hearing, that of pleasure.

1. The Bosphorus Bouquet formulation

Ingredients :
Extract of acacia = 1 pint
Extract of jasmine = 1/2 pint
Extract of rose triple = 1/2 pint
Extract of fleur d'orange= 1/2 pint
Extract of tubereuse= 1/2 pint
Extract of civet= 1/4 pint
Otto of almonds = 10 drops

2. Bouquet d'Amour formulation

Ingredients :
Esprit de rose= 1 pint
Esprit de jasmine= 1 pint
Esprit de violette= 1 pint
Esprit de cassie= 1 pint
Extract of musk= 1/2 pint
Extract of ambergris= 1/2 pint

Procedure :
Mix and filter

3. Bouquet des Fleurs du Val d'Andorre formulation

Ingredients :
Extrait de jasmine= 1 pint
Extrait de rose= 1 pint
Extrait de violette= 1 pint
Extrait de tuberose= 1 pint
Extract of orris= 1 pint
Otto of geranium= 1/4 oz

4. Buckingham Palace Bouquet

Extrait de fleur d'orange= 1 pint
Extrait de cassie= 1 pint
Extrait de jasmine= 1 pint
Extrait de rose= 1 pint
Extract of orris= 1/2 pint
Extrait de ambergris= 1/2 pint
Otto of neroli= 1/2 drachm.
Extrait de lavender= 1/2 drachm
Extrait de rose= 1 drachm

5. Bouquet de Caroline; also called Bouquet des Delices Formulation

Ingredients :
Extrait de rose= 1 pint
Extrait de violette= 1 pint
Extrait de tuberose= 1 pint
Extract of orris= 1/2 pint
Extract of ambergris= 1/2 pint
Otto of bergamot= 1/4 oz
Otto of Limett= 1/4 oz
Otto of cedret= 1/4 oz
